Pat's Place
Pat's Place ('Casa Pat' in Spanish) is a Christian based shelter and refuge for women and their children who have suffered immensely from domestic violence--mental, physical, emotional, economic and/or sexual abuse. For the safety of the women and their children, the home is in an unpublished location in San Juan de Lurigancho on the outskirts of Lima, Peru. These women come with their children to build a new life of restoration and hope.
A Safe Haven
Pat's Place ('Casa Pat' in Spanish) officially opened in 2006 through the efforts of New Covenant Ministries of Norcross, Georgia. The home now operates under the funding, guidance, and direction of Amor Real Ministries and currently houses multiple families, including 9 women and their 23 children. The women and children living at Pat's Place come to a safe haven in which they find personal healing, Christian restoration and hope for a new life after abuse. While living there the women receive Christian based counseling, life instruction/coaching, psychological evaluations, schooling opportunities and/or learn a new trade and work experience to support their families once they graduate from the home's program. Women participate in a recovery program that typically lasts two years. It is our prayer that these women and children come to faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and lead a life that reflects His restoring work in their lives.
The Beginning of Pat's Place
Pat's Place was named in honor of Patricia Wautlet, a compassionate and powerful Christian speaker who found her calling ministering to Peruvian women who found themselves in abusive and dangerous relationships. Pat's vision was to build a ministry and a safe haven for these women and their children. Unfortunately, Pat passed away shortly before the home was opened.
Her dream and calling lives on today and Amor Real Ministries is dedicated to ensure women and their children have a refuge from the violence of their past with a hope for a bright new future as children of faith in Jesus Christ.

Running Pat's Place
Alex and Holly Compton established Amor Real Ministries in 2016 to continue championing the cause of Pat's Place and raise up a ministry of excellence that not only serves the women and children of Pat's Place but also to bless impoverished families in San Juan de Lurigancho. Currently, with 8 women and their 15 children as residents, Pat's Place has an operating budget of approximately $60,000 per year. We depend solely on the financial support of churches, organizations, mission teams, individual supporters and the like.
We thank you in advance for your consideration to help transform the lives of these women and their children.
