Gratitude from amor real & Pat's Place

Dear All,

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support of Amor Real and Pat’s Place. Your dedication to our families is deeply appreciated and does not go unnoticed. I have invited Laura Alie, Director of Pat’s Place, to provide an update.

Thank you once again for your continued support and generosity.

Dear Friends,

As we commence this new year, we express our heartfelt gratitude to God for His unwavering spiritual support each day. At Pat’s Place, we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing mental rest and psychological support to the families in our care. Here, they can cultivate a peaceful life, assured that their children are free from violence. The mothers devote themselves entirely to their children in every aspect.

The families have embarked on this year with renewed hope. The children, eager to begin a new grade, are prepared with their uniforms and school supplies. They have enjoyed their first month of vacation and will continue to engage in enjoyable activities, practicing their favorite sports such as volleyball and now basketball, until the second week of February.

The experiences at our Home inspire the families to strive for positive change, both for their children and for themselves.

We extend our deepest appreciation for your continued support on this challenging journey. With God's guidance and your unwavering support, we persevere.

Sincerely, Laura Alie

Family Time with Pat’s Place

Tim Koenning and Alex Compton enjoyed spending Family Time with our Pat’s Place families. It was a pleasure to engage with all the families at the house. We successfully installed a new basketball hoop and volleyball net, and had a wonderful time celebrating the birthdays of Cielo, Aysha, and Jose Manual.

During the event, we had the opportunity to interact with the children and their families, creating a joyful and supportive environment. One of the highlights was seeing the positive impact on the children, such as Gabby, who has shown remarkable progress since her family joined Pat's Place. Initially, Gabby was very reserved and hesitant to interact, but now she smiles frequently and enjoys being held by others

We also played various versions of volleyball, basketball, 4 square and chess, which brought smiles and laughter to everyone involved. It is a heartwarming experience to witness the transformation and happiness of the families, knowing that we contributed to making a positive difference in their lives.

3rd Floor Repairs

During our visit, Tim Koenning (Director of Missions) and Alex Compton (President of Amor Real) conducted a thorough walk-through of Pat’s Place. We perform these inspections multiple times a year because 20-year-old, five-story houses require regular maintenance. During our walk-through, we noticed a few cracks in the third-floor ceiling that needed immediate repair. As you can see from the photos, the repair work has already been completed, and everything is looking good again. We have a Men’s Team coming out in March to help remodel the house. Just like our homes in America, sometimes things need a face lift. We would love your continued support and prayers as we take on this endeavor. If you would like to be on this trip, please let us know and we would love to have you with us. If you cannot come out directly, please consider supporting the mission at hand. Below is a list of what we will be doing.

  1. Replace Every Bed and Mattress for our families.

  2. Build out Closets in 8 bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor.

  3. Due to the type of home we have, we have been asked to place braces on the windows for security purposes.

  4. Reinforce the stairwell steps from the first floor to the fourth floor along with the outside railings.

  5. Demolish and Rebuild the Main Kitchen.

We would greatly appreciate your support for our day-to-day needs. If you are interested in supporting our efforts, please know that we cannot do this without your help. All money donated to Amor Real goes directly to Pat's Place. Here are some wonderful ways you can help.

Through your partnership, families find “P” (“paz”=peace), “A” (“amor”=love) and “T” (“transformacion”=transformation) at P.A.T.’s Place.

We invite you to partner with us in the following ways…

1. $10 - Feeds 5 kids for a day.

2. $50 - Feeds all 30 women and kids for a day.

3. $100 - Supports a person for a month or all 30 women and kids for food for 2 days. (Sponsorship covers housing, food, medical needs, counseling/therapy, and everyday supplies that families need).

4. $500 - Supports 5 people which could be 2 families or 1 family of 5 for a month.

5. $3200 - Supports the entire house for a month which covers food, medical supplies, housing, schooling, counseling, and therapy.
