Amor real update

Afternoon Everyone,

Time is flying by as we approach the end of March. Our missions team planning is progressing well, Pat’s Place families are thriving, and the kids are excited for their favorite time of year—back to school. As I, Alex Compton, sit in our house in Lima, Peru, writing this month's update, I am filled with gratitude for the love and support you have shown us over the past decade.

This month, I am excited to share a brief 5-minute video update on our construction progress. The Vine Community Church sent a small men's team to help us kick off the 2025 Pat’s Place Remodel. As many of you know, the house is over 20 years old and requires significant upkeep. This week, we have started or completed the following tasks:

  1. First Floor Kitchen Remodel - The team did the demolishing of the kitchen. We have Peruvians coming in to do the full rebuild of the kitchen which will include all new tile, and industrial sink, new stove tops, new granite counter topes, new cabinets that go all the way to the ceiling, and a floor to ceiling pantry.

  2. Replaced Every Single Light Switch, Power Sockets (including adding USB and USB C), and lights on all 4 floors of the house.

  3. Painted the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th floor.

  4. Added New Windows to the New 5th Floor Rooms.

  5. Added all new security windows for the 2nd and 3rd floors to keep the kids safe.

  6. Rewired some other rooms that need new power to make sure the house is safe.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our back-to-school sponsors: The Prayer Room Church (Pastors Rob and Jennifer Walker), Tim Koenning, and Pastor Daniel Chavista (Celebremos Su Gloria Wesleyan Church). Your generosity has provided everything our families need for the new school year. Running Pat’s Place truly takes a village, and we couldn't do it without our incredible donors and sponsors. Thank you all for your unwavering love and support.

We would greatly appreciate your support for our day-to-day needs. If you are interested in supporting our efforts, please know that we cannot do this without your help. All money donated to Amor Real goes directly to Pat's Place. Here are some wonderful ways you can help.

Through your partnership, families find “P” (“paz”=peace), “A” (“amor”=love) and “T” (“transformacion”=transformation) at P.A.T.’s Place.

We invite you to partner with us in the following ways…

1. $10 - Feeds 5 kids for a day.

2. $50 - Feeds all 30 women and kids for a day.

3. $100 - Supports a person for a month or all 30 women and kids for food for 2 days. (Sponsorship covers housing, food, medical needs, counseling/therapy, and everyday supplies that families need).

4. $500 - Supports 5 people which could be 2 families or 1 family of 5 for a month.

5. $3200 - Supports the entire house for a month which covers food, medical supplies, housing, schooling, counseling, and therapy.
